Darrian O’Reilly is a choreographer and performer based in Los Angeles. Described as playful, chaotic, awkward, and oddly arresting, Darrian’s work teeters on the edges between dance and theatre. Her pieces often feature theatrical devices, melding character, props, narrative, voice, and live music in an unpredictable alchemy. In the past year, her newly-formed company DAR+FRIENDS performed at Redcat, Highways Performance Space, and Electric Lodge. She regularly collaborates on video projects with visual artist Trulee Hall, and she recently choreographed a music video for recording artist Doe Paoro. Darrian received a BA from New York University. She is an MFA candidate at UCLA’s department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance.
