Sophia Stoller is a choreographer, dancer and dance educator based in Los Angeles, CA. Sophia has shown work in festivals and curated performances locally and internationally, including Anatomy Riot, Fowler Museum’s Fowler Out Loud, Electric Lodge’s Max 10, and Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s Nizozot Showcase, and has presented self-produced evening-length works at Bootleg Theater and the Sharon Disney Lund Theater. From 2010-2013, Sophia was one of the Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors of Soul Lab Dance Project, an all-female dance collective based in Los Angeles dedicated to creating multi-disciplinary performance work and producing community events that encourage connections made though a shared love of art and diversity. Sophia has performed with Nickerson-Rossi Dance, Union Project Dance Company, and Soul Lab Dance Project, as well as the work of Rami Be’er and Mats Ek. She received a BA in World Arts and Cultures/Dance and a BA in Psychology from UCLA, and an MFA in Choreography from California Institute of the Arts.
