Lynn Ellen Bathke

Lynn Ellen Bathke is a textile artist, shoemaker, and art conservator based in Los Angeles, CA. She has designed costume and textiles for dance, film and theater in Los Angeles and Chicago. In 2017 Lynn launched her custom women’s footwear label, Bathke Bespoke, and is currently developing an education arm for the brand which uses the craft of shoemaking to forge community in Los Angeles and beyond. Lynn’s conservation projects have ranged from Taiwan’s beloved Formosa Republic Flag to some of Hollywood’s most iconic costumes, for many major museums including the Victoria & Albert Museum, The National Taiwan Museum, LACMA, FIDM, and The Academy Museum of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her MA in Textile Conservation from the Textile Conservation Center, University of Southampton, UK.
