NoodleRice & Friends
NoodleRice&Friends is a contemporary art collective working in live performance, film/video, and installation.
First conceived in 2008 as a film studio by Yao Zhang and Liang Guo while they were both at Beijing Film Academy, they later expanded their work to live performance during their MFA years at California Institute of the Arts.
NoodleRice’s work has been selected and shown nationally and internationally in the US and Europe, including at: The Watermill Center (under the artistic directing of Robert Wilson), Rabbithole as part of EOarts Performance Series 2016 in New York, SPACE gallery as part of the PAF(Performance Art Festival) 2016 in Pittsburgh, REDCAT, Highways Performance Space, Automata, and Tongva Park in Los Angeles. NoodleRice has also participated in The Holland Festival in The Netherlands, in the second Tier of Sundance Institute New Frontier Story Lab, and as a finalist of Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival.
