The We in Me: Beyond House Resilience

With the support of a California Arts Council 2023 Impact Grant, homeLA will be presenting The We in Me: Beyond House Resilience in partnership with MoFundamentals and The Box gallery.

Beyond House Resilience builds from House of RESILIENCE in 2022 with a celebration of foster youth voices in the arts. Both programs center the talents and creativity of those impacted by the foster care system and provide foster youth with mentorship, creative professional art opportunities and pathways, and support through a foster-youth centered approach to healing through the arts.

Beyond House Resilience will be a festival style event for the foster youth community and public. Partnering organizations and presenters include: Kids in the Spotlight, Project Q, Foster Youth Flea, Orphan Tongue, Brown Bag Lady/YoungLA, Journey House, First Place for Youth, plus more.

The We in Me is homeLA’s public education program that considers homelessness through the lens of empathy and civic engagement, offering a variety of opportunities for support, public engagement, learning, awareness, and action around homelessness.
