togetherfire came about through the sharing of poetry, scores, bread, and stories amongst friends, rooted in the tensions of home, land, and belonging. thinking about home as a hearth, an archetype of fire, and an alchemist of private and social realities, this gathering of dance, writing, nourishment, and performance encounters offers the fire as spiritual, physical, political and ancestral sustenance and contemplation. – taisha paggett and meital yaniv
